Skills Development Scotland have provided funded places for Modern Apprenticeships in the hospitality sector.
These may be of interest to you or your staff. They can be used as motivational tools, to attract or retain staff members in your business, or simply to improve the qualifications and skills of your team. It is based on a relevant vocational qualification, certificated by SQA.
The apprenticeship includes
A REHIS food hygiene certificate
An SQA licensing certificate (for the Personal Licence)
A health and safety certificate
Customer service training
All this is provided free of charge.
The course is carried out at the workplace, on weekly visits by a trainer/assessor. It will not disrupt the service you provide to your customers.

Trainee chefs (aged 16-19) at Level 2 Professional Cookery
Intermediate level chefs (aged 16 – 19) Level 3 Professional Cookery
Front of house staff (aged 16 – 19) at Level 2 Food and Beverage service
Front of house staff (aged 16 -19) at level 3 Hospitality Supervision and Leadership
